Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Public Health Journal – Submission Rules
ATSIPHJ is bi-annually released peer reviewed e-journal that publishes original research and scholarly work that contributes to the understanding and development of all aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Public Health. Presentations may not only be in written form but because of the nature of the e-journal may also be audio visual or multimedia presentations.
Documents should be in either MS-Word or Adobe PDF format with NO fancy formatting.
ATSIPHJ prefers an A4 page with 3cm left and 4cm right margins and ARIAL font size 11 utilising 1 and a half line spacing. Papers should be no less than 2,000 words (or equivalent commentary/video time) and should not exceed 4,500 words in length.
Images should be submitted separate in either JPEG or GIF format.
Audiovisual presentations should either be in MS-PowerPoint, AVI or MPEG2 format.
The preferred referencing standard is APA 5th and should be utilised in the correct format throughout all submissions. Papers not adhering to this format will be returned for review or will not be published.

Upon receipt of your submission you will be notified immediately via e-mail. Your submission will then undergo blind peer review and following cross review by the Editor will be submitted into the next available edition. You will be notified via e-mail if this is the case. Please note this may take up to a period of 6 months from submission to publication. In some cases, in view of the reviewer or editors comments, the paper may need to be edited before publication. If this is the case the author will be supplied with a review commentary outlining suggested changes to be made to your document prior to resubmission. The Editor reserves the final right to publish or decline any submissions.
On a separate page please list the following information Title, Author/s given name and surnames, Qualifications, Current position, Postal address, contact phone number and e-mail address.
Contact details for at least one Author MUST be supplied for publication to occur.
Any material submitted for publications must not be under consideration for, or have been published elsewhere. A copyright declaration form, completed by all authors stating that the submission has not been published elsewhere, must be attached to any submission of material for publication. Copyright remains with the Author and is only maintained by ATSIPHJ in that it is only licensed to reproduce your accepted work on any of its web publications by your consent without further cost or reiteration to ATSIPHJ.
